Olympics fans were given a surprise this week as they were snapped alongside David Beckham as part of a PR stunt for an Adidas marketing campaign.
Team GB supporters at Westfield Stratford City were getting their pictures taken in a photo booth when the LA Galaxy player stepped in unannounced.
Beckham made 60 surprise appearances, with some people in tears when they realised who it was.
The event was a PR stunt for the #takethestage Olympic marketing campaign from Adidas, which is the official sportswear sponsor of the London 2012 Games.
Following the photo booth activity, Beckham took part in a 30-minute Twitter interview for the Adidas website.
“It was a unique experience for me and the people who took part and there were some great reactions when we surprised them in the photo booth,” said Beckham.
“I always love coming back to London and the activity was a great opportunity for me to get involved in the Adidas Take The Stage campaign and get behind Team GB.”
