In the news this week…
A&E nurse and champion poet Piers Harrison-Reid, 25 has written and recorded a poem celebrating the NHS as it turns 70 this week.
The nurse from Norwich was Essex slam poet champion in 2012 – a form of poetry where people read their work without props, costumes or music in front of judges.
BBC Look East requested he write a poem about the NHS to honour the institution’s impressive anniversary. The result is titled Love is for the Brave and can be watched here.
